THE WORKSHOP / WHAT WE BUILD
What we build.
Same rules as the journal.
The journal checks other people’s claims. This page is our own work, held to the same rule: every system here shows its source or says it can’t. Each line says plainly whether it’s live, a public demo, or a private build you can see on request. Statuses checked 25 October 2026.

RUNNING NOW
Six things, honestly labeled.
CAIRN
Ask a set of documents a question and get back the passages that answer it, with their sources, or a refusal when the documents don’t say. Every answer and every refusal goes into a chain you can verify yourself. Public demo · a fictional gas-processing unit · no signup
The transload scheduler
Plans a rail-to-truck sand terminal: what its rules can load, what they can’t, and the reason for every no. Every plan writes a receipt you can verify. Built from first-hand experience running a terminal. Private build · illustrative data · shown on request
Estimative AI
Measures from ordinary video, publishes its confidence, and refuses footage it can’t read. The live instrument runs in your browser; your video never leaves your machine. Live · estimative.ai
SLATE
A production suite that turns a screenplay into a breakdown, schedule and budget. Whatever the script doesn’t say, it leaves for the assistant director to confirm. Private build · shown on request
CADMUS
Turns a vague product idea into a structured, build-ready specification, with live critique along the way. Live · cadmusspec.com
ASSAY
The method behind this journal’s claim checks: write the test down, freeze it by hash before looking, run positive controls, and publish the misses. The kit is open. Open source · Apache-2.0
